The Imperial Starbase is the most powerful ship in the universe. It is the only ship to have a BHR cannon, with which it can destroy asteroids and even planets.
Controversy[]
The ability to destroy planets was removed from the English version of the game, to the outrage of many players. This was voted on: the majority of the players felt that it would be detrimental to the game to have planets destroyed that they had worked so hard on developing. However, it was agreed that the ability for the Imperial Starbase to destroy asteroids would be left in, as of 07/21/2009.
Removing this ability renders the ship almost completely useless as an attack element. Because of its extremely slow speed (300+Warp lvl), it is only useful for escape flights (due to its massive cargo capacity), ambushes, defense, and transport duty.
